About miranov.online

Published 22 September 2026 · Boyuk Group, s.r.o.

A small independent site that explains how games work, written by one named editor, funded by affiliate commission, and built to collect nothing about the people who read it.

What we publish

Explanatory articles about video games: not news, not scored reviews, not patch coverage. The question we try to answer is “how does this actually work, and what will it be like for me?” — the things a trailer will not tell you and a wiki assumes you already know.

That means we spend more words on mechanics than on marketing copy, we include the parts people dislike, and we draw diagrams instead of reprinting screenshots. It also means our articles get long.

Who writes it

Lisa Anderson is the director of publication and responsible editor, and writes the articles on this site. Every page carries her byline and a publication date. There are no ghost authors and no invented personas. Editorial and correction requests reach her directly at info@miranov.online.

How we are paid

By affiliate commission on links labelled “partner link”, and by nothing else. There is no paywall, no subscription, no newsletter list to sell, no display advertising and no sponsored-post business. The affiliate disclosure sets out the arrangement and the editorial policy sets out the rules that keep it away from the writing.

Three things we decided at the start

Collect nothingNo cookies, no analytics, no pixels, no browser storage, no third-party requests at all. We genuinely do not know how many people read this. It is a real cost and we accepted it. The cookie policy shows you how to verify the claim yourself.
Label the moneyEvery commercial link is labelled where you can see it, not in a footer. If a reader cannot tell within one second which links pay us, we have done it wrong.
Correct in publicWhen we are wrong we say what we used to say, what we say now and why. The main article carries a table of ten claims we removed or rewrote from its previous version.

How the site is built

Static HTML, one small stylesheet, one small script, served over HTTPS. The typeface is whatever your operating system already has — no web fonts, because loading a font from someone else’s server would send them your IP address. Every illustration is an original SVG drawn for the page it sits on, with alternative text and a caption. Nothing is loaded from a content delivery network. The whole site works with JavaScript switched off.
